Influencing factors of anti-skid function of safety shoes

Non-slip safety shoes have a professional grade system, is the European safety shoes non-slip grade: SRA, SRB, Src three grades.

SRA class generally refers to the selection of glazed tiles with soap liquid test, pressure in 400 -500 N, 7 degrees upturned toe, forward, no obvious slip.

SRB class generally refers to the safety shoes on the stainless steel plate with glycerin test, pressure is 400-500N, the toe up 7 degrees, moving forward without significant movement.

Pass both SRA and SRB tests, that is, to achieve SRC standards.

The SRC standard is the highest grade of the European Union Safety Shoe Sole anti-skid standard. Through the SRC anti-skid safety shoes, it can be applied to almost all daily work environments with anti-skid requirements.

There are many factors that affect the anti-skid of the soles of safety shoes, such as sole materials (safety sole materials including RUBBER, plastic, RUBBER and plastic materials, Pu/Pu, Pu/TPU, Pu/RUBBER and other materials) , ground hardness, moisture, smooth, sole patterns, structure and so on.

Generally in the dry surface of the anti-skid effect, often referred to as dry anti-skid. The effect of water on the ground is called wet anti-skid. In some of the more special working or living environment, the presence of the ground, may not just the general water, often there is oil, or even oil and water co-existence. Therefore, there are oil-type and oil and water-based anti-skid, for different environments, shoes for the anti-skid function requirements have different styles and sole design.

The roughness and different height of the soles of safety shoes can effectively increase the actual contact area, thus increasing the friction and improving the anti-skid effect. Different texture, thickness and depth of shading, resulting in deformation and the actual contact area with the ground is also different. Too thin grain, in support of the human body, easy wear, resulting in a rapid weakening of the effect of anti-skid; too thick texture, in the general road walk, reduced form change resulting in poor anti-skid effect.

Therefore, the design of safe sole texture is more important in the wet interface, in the environment of wet contact surface, drainage texture design, direct impact on the sole of the anti-slip effect. When there is water between the sole and the contact surface, the sole grain can not effectively discharge the water to the sole groove and both sides of the sole, the water will exist between the sole and the ground, the thin layer of water plays a lubrication role, the friction between the sole and the ground is greatly reduced, resulting in skidding. Therefore, the design of the soles of safety shoes should consider not only the dry contact surface, but also the wet contact surface.

To sum up, the material and pattern structure of the sole of safety shoes play an important role in its anti-skid function. Polyurethane elastomers have been used in safety shoes for many years, and they are more and more accepted because of their various formulations, low weight selection and exceptional durability.
